Porca de Murça Reserva Tinto

In 1998 the company launched the Porca de Murça Reserva to celebrate the brand’s success and to respond to the increasing demand for high quality Douro wines. Made from traditional varietals, the Porca de Murça Reserva Tinto (Red) expresses the original side of the Douro, in which we seek the elegance in the Touriga Nacional while a parcel of Old Vines in Field Blend offer rusticity and complexity.

Old Vines Field Blend & Touriga Nacional

The blend is composed by 50% of Touriga Nacional and 50% Old Vines where we can identify more than 25 varieties blended in one single parcel. The Touriga Nacional, planted at Quinta do Casal da Granja and Cidrô benefits from a high altitude and mild climate, offering elegance and acidity, while the Old Vines from Quinta das Carvalhas provide structure and complexity. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats and ageing in french oak barriques for a period of 12 months.

The wine is fresh, with a beautiful ruby colour and aromas of red fruit harmoniously integrated with creamy vanilla notes, demonstrating notable aromatic intensity and complexity. Very balanced and round, resulting in a very pleasant and long lasting finish.
