To produce this wine, we believed it was essential to maintain the Quinta’s style by including one or more foreign grapes. At the same time, the presence of a national grape was crucial for our strong emphasis on preserving the Douro’s unique character. Through modern methods of viticuture, we were able to identify, amongst the selected parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional, vines of supreme quality, making this an incomparable wine, which ages 14 months in French oak barriques.
