The Porca de Murça Reserva Branco (White) was born in 1998, as a starting point for a long campaign in the production of top quality Douro whites made from indigenous varieties. A new strategy which imposed an new concept of precision viticulture in the selection of parcels, and their division into sub-parcels, resulting in the ideal selection of grapes for this wine.
A Reserva White which we chose not to age in oak, allowing a more expressive and authentic varietal character. The Blend unites Boal, Viosinho, Verdelho and Cerceal, four noble and traditional varietals, which ferment and age in stainless steel.
We have produced an elegant wine, with enourmous aromatic complexity of fruit and floral notes, combined with the unique minerality of the Douro. Balanced, with fruit flavours and an excelent acidity, which results in a long, ever lasting finish.
