Port Wine is, by definition, a generous and fortified wine produced in the Douro Region- the oldest Demarcated Wine Region in the world. Produced from tradition indigenous varieties, its method of vinification is characterized by the addition of wine brandy to the must causing an interruption in fermentation. This process preserves all natural sugars in the wine and allows the development of a licorous texture.

This 30-year-old Port from Quinta das Carvalhas is a perfect example of our expertise developed over the years in mastering the art of blending old Ports. A wine of classic Tawny colour, with golden shades, revealing a beautiful and complex nose with delicate hints of dry raisins, candied citric and ripe liquorice, combined with ageing notes of exotic oak. On the palate, its richness is shown through its intensity, which lingers in a very mellow form.
